Striped bass are also plentiful at certain times of the year. Many Bigmouth bass
in the six to twelve pound class are caught regularly in our area. Bream and
black crappie (Speckled perch) also grow large in the St. John’s river. Bream
over one pound and crappie over two pounds are not uncommon. Shrimp in the fall
months are found in abundance in the St. John’s river too.
