Whether trolling, spin-casting or fly fishing, you're bound to have success on a Maine fishing vacation at Rideout's Lodge. Our 22-mile-long, East Grand Lake has several features that make for excellent fishing: low-intensity fishing, quality water and structure, and an abundance of small "fodder" fish. As a result, trophy-sized game fish can be caught at any time of the year. East Grand Lake is renowned for the finest smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon and lake trout fishing. East Grand Lake offers what many consider the finest landlocked salmon fishing in Maine. In recent years, the lake has produced salmon over eight pounds, and it's not unusual for our guests to boat 15-30 legal salmon in a day's fishing.

Fish River Lodge
Fish River Lodge is a traditional Maine sporting camp and four-season recreational destination located on beautiful Eagle Lake in Northern Maine. Enjoy listening to the call of the loon and watching bald eagles from the pebbly beach or your cabin porch. You might even see a moose swim from one side of the lake to the other! Just a short canoe ride from camp you can glide along Fish River where moose and deer are often spotted in late afternoon or at dusk. You can fish for land locked salmon, brook trout, and lake trout on the waters comprising the famed Fish River Chain of Lakes.

Gunsmoke Lodge
Within a twenty-five mile radius to the north of our lodge, we have over 100 lakes and ponds, along with major rivers. Some of these waters are world renowned fisheries. Ice-out trolling for landlocked salmon and lake trout can produce some rod jerking action.

Salmon are prowling the waters just below the surface at this time of year and can be taken on streamer flies and lures on ultra-light equipment. This action takes place as soon as you can get a boat on the water, through the month of June. Ice-out combined with the local smelt run can produce some breathtaking action.
